Is this the same as home health?
No. While it may look very similar, you do not need to be homebound to qualify, as you do with home health. Mobile outpatient therapy will bill your Medicare B benefit, whereas home health bills your Medicare A benefit. In mobile outpatient therapy we have more flexibility to treat you for the frequency and duration that is most ideal for you! We are a great option to come in AFTER your home health agency discharges you if you are looking for more care.
Does Medicare cover this?
Yes! Medicare part B covers this service just like it does if you were to go to an outpatient clinic. Quality Independence Therapy is in network with traditional Medicare plans as well as Humana and Blue Cross Blue Shield Medicare Advantage plans. We are an out of network provider for all other Medicare Advantage plans as well as commercial insurance plans. Coverage will vary based on your individual plan.
Can you provide caregiving services?
No. There are many amazing caregiving agencies in the area and we are always happy to provide referrals. We also love to work alongside these caregiving agencies and include the caregivers in the therapeutic process. However, while we may both be helping a client with similar tasks, these are two separate and different services.
Do you provide physical therapy services?
At this time, we do not provide physical therapy services. Again, we do work alongside many great physical therapy practices in the area and are happy to provide referrals. It is important to know that receiving occupational and physical therapy services from two different outpatient agencies is perfectly okay and does not negatively impact your insurance benefits! Outpatient therapy, however, cannot bill your insurance at the same time as home health services.
